In September of 2009, I appeared on the icon of cooking shows for its time, Ready Steady Cook and announced that I wanted my own cooking show called Champagne Food on a Beer Budget. See where it all began.
Fast forward to 2019 and we were lucky to be selected to appear in Season 10 of My Kitchen Rules on Channel 7 network. Mick hating camera's, public speaking and centre of attention took a leap of faith to follow my dream and go on a once in a lifetime journey to find the perfect platform to promote Champagne Food on a Beer Budget once again.
With some incredible experts in the field of television believing in our goals, we have the pilot episode of Champagne Food on a Beer Budget "in the can". Our first efforts were beyond pleasing, and the results were so much greater than we expected. Now in post-production we are set to deal with the networks and trace our path to Free-to-air TV
The best part of appearing on one of Channel 7's highest rating, longest running reality shows was not just the learning experience, it was also the great friendships we made with the crew. The behind the scenes stars of the show. We have stayed in touch with many of these legends of the industry which has helped propel us into our new ventures
It's been 11 years in the making. Two appearances on cooking shows - Ready Steady Cook CH10 in 2009 and My Kitchen Rules 2019, but we have finally filmed our own TV show as promised. Only the pilot episode at this stage, but we are in talks and negotiations for a first season of 10 episodes. Subscribe to our website to keep updated!!
